What to do when electric vehicle charging encounters a lock gun?
With the popularization of electric vehicles, more and more people are using them. What should we do when electric vehicles encounter a lock gun while charging? To avoid encountering lock grabs during charging, car owners should not randomly plug and unplug the charging gun during the charging process. If they want to end the charging, they can end the program through the mobile app or operate it through the screen of the charging station. This can prevent the charging gun from being locked. The following are several processing methods:
1. Confirm the charging status and attempt to unlock the operation
Firstly, the car owner should confirm whether the charging order has been completed, whether the charging station has stopped charging, and whether the running lights have been turned off. Then, try operating the charging station or key to unlock. For example, if you click to start charging, wait for a moment, and then click to stop charging, the locking interface of the charging gun may be unlocked. In addition, some vehicles are equipped with unlock switches and buttons, which can be unlocked by the owner through operation. First, turn off the vehicle and lock it, then press the unlock button twice to try pulling the gun; Some vehicles can attempt to unlock by setting the vehicle's electronic lock to be turned off or parking for charging related functions.
2. Restart charging
Another method is to restart the charging. For example, after starting the charging station and charging normally for 1-2 minutes, the charging ends. At this point, unlock the vehicle key. When you hear the vehicle lock rebound, press the gun head button and pull out the gun head, which may successfully unlock the charging gun.
3. Manual unlocking of charging gun
If none of the above methods can solve the problem, you can try manually unlocking the charging gun. Due to the locking function of the charging gun interface to prevent disconnection during charging, there is a possibility of locking. Car owners can use the screwdriver reserved with the vehicle to insert the screwdriver into the unlocking port and move it in the direction of the gun head to unlock.
4. Use emergency unlocking device
If the charging gun comes with an unlock key at the factory, it can be unlocked by twisting and pressing with the key or iron needle. There are more than ten models of charging guns used in charging stations on the market, and the unlocking methods can be roughly divided into several types: there is a key hanging at the tail of the gun head, the head of the key is placed in the concave groove at the tail of the charging gun head, and then pushed forward. When a sound is heard, the key cannot be pushed at the same time, which completes the emergency unlocking; There is a rubber strip on the side of the charging gun head. After removing the rubber strip, you will see the head of a cylindrical metal rod covered with a spring. Then, take out a small flat screwdriver and move the metal strip towards the front of the gun head. When you hear a sound and the metal strip touches the front micro switch, the emergency unlocking is completed.
5. Seeking professional assistance
If none of the above methods can solve the problem, it is recommended to contact professional maintenance personnel or call the 24-hour service hotline, and a dedicated person will handle it at that time.
